De niño hacía saltos muy avanzados para mi edad, hasta que uno me lesionó y dejé de ubicarme en el aire. Nadie supo acompañarme y mi nivel se vino abajo. Veinte años después entendí que no me faltaba valor — me faltaba método. As a kid I was doing dives well beyond my age, until one injured me and I lost my orientation in the air. Nobody knew how to walk me through it and my level collapsed. Twenty years later I understood: it wasn't courage I lacked — it was method. 小时候我做的动作远超年龄，直到一次受伤后，我在空中找不到自己了。没人懂得怎么带我走出来，我的水平一落千丈。二十年后我才明白：我缺的不是勇气——是方法。

Trabajar entre culturas no lo aprendí en un curso: lo practico en mi casa todos los días. I live in Panyu with my wife and our two children. She's Russian, I'm Colombian, the kids are growing up in China. Three languages at one table — and arguments in all three.
